Just had a lining check for an FET for my one and only embryo and my lining was too thin (5.6mm). Waiting to talk to the doctor later today to hear what his plan is but wondering if anyone has been through this. So frustrating to just keep delaying and waiting. I have never had a problem with lining before- just my ovaries so now I can add this to the list. Lucky me!
Trying to stay positive and keep perspective but man is this up and down, stop and go so frustrating. I know you all get this all too well. Xoxo

Well, this is my life, as you know. Lining problems for the past 3 years. I had 6 FET’s in a row each cancelled because of thin lining…frustrating to say the least….and I tried everything. Since you’ve never had lining problems, I wouldn’t worry too much since you know your lining can get thick enough. How much Estrace have you been on and for how long?? Aspirin, excercise, orgasms(not kidding) all help to get the blood flowing which is usually a problem when you’ve had thick enough lining before…or hormone levels? Did they check those? Best of luck and I’ll be thinking of you for fluffy lining…lots of love to you..xoxo

Thank you so much for your comment. I am getting a tiny taste of how frustrating this all is for you. So sorry! I will try all of the above. I have been on 2mg three times a day for a few weeks. Thanks so much for the tips. They will call Witt my hormone levels later.

If it’s a blood flow thing that acupuncture would also be helpful. X

Oh how frustrating! The endless waiting that is IVF. I don’t have advice for how to boost a lining, but hopefully your clinic will know what to do!

I never had problems with my lining either, but mine was not stellar at my last check before my FET. It was good enough to go forward, but not what it was in my fresh cycle transfers I don’t think (although I kind of blocked those out so I can’t be sure). I don’t know what the deal is with that. I really wish I had an answer for you. But! I don’t think this means you have lining issues overall, it just probably means your body is taking a bit to gear up with the synthetic estrogen. Did you have the triple stripe/tri-phasic lining? My RE told me that was more important than how thick it is. The stop-and-go nature of this whole fertility business is beyond frustrating! Beyond. Nothing ever goes exactly as planned. I’m hoping this is making us more adaptable in the long run? Maybe? Haha, who knows. Hang in there and keep me posted on what the doctor says!

Thanks lovely. I went for a long run and decided to have a good attitude about it. It will all work out in the end and I am doing my best not to squander the waiting period!

I think the runs will help your lining, too! ๐ Also, I am jealous of your runs. I haven’t run a lick since I started fertility treatments. I’ve barely done anything — I feel like such a sloth!

Honestly they are my sanity. Not super long but so needed. Hoping you can’t run for a very long time however :). I know I won’t run a mile with a little baby growing!

I’m jealous too! Oh running, how I miss thee. Once I’m done with baby making I am going to train for a few half marathons and maybe even one full one somewhere exotic!

I have an idea. Once we all have out babies and they’re like one years old or something, the three of us can meet somewhere and run a half marathon. And then spend another couple of days drinking wine and eating all the food we’re not supposed to eat while TTC or pregnant. Who’s in?

That is frustrating. My friend had that happened and they were pumping her full or oestrogen to thicken it up and it wasn’t working. She ended up taking a break and went to the health food store and got a supplement to help balance her hormones and that seemed to do the trick. I know waiting is the last thing you want right now. I hope you can get it sorted before too long xxx

I am so sorry. The TTC journey is just too much for so many of us! Sorry I don’t have any experience with this. My doctors seem to have tested nothing throughout my journey! Thinking of you.

Ugh, how frustrating. Those unexpected delays are awful, I’m so sorry. I really hope it won’t be too much longer of a wait. Sending you love just the same.
