Hi there! Thank you for visiting my site. I am one of the 1 in 8 who struggles with infertility. I also happen to be an identical twin and she also struggled with IF. After many IVF cycles I had my miracle boy and I am now 10 failed IVF cycles, immune testing, surgery and ERA testing into trying to give him a sibling. I know how very fortunate I am to have a baby in my arms. This is not lost on me and I am grateful every moment. I only hope I am fortunate enough to give him a sibling. I oscillate between this gratitude and the usual scared/frustrated/sad/angry/hopeful that is the IF psyche.

Update: Pursued donor eggs and had my miracle baby girl in July.

Quick TTC Summary:

IVF #1 One day 3 embryos transferred- negative pregnancy test

IVF #2 Three day 3 embryos transferred- negative pregnancy test

IVF #3 Four day 3 ( poor quality) embryos transferred- resulted in my miracle toddler!!

IVF#4 Four day 3 embryos transferred- negative pregnancy test.

IVF# 5 Fiveday 3 embryos transferred- positive pregnancy test– chemical pregnancy 😦

IVF#6 One genetically normal hatching day 5 embryos transferred- negative pregnancy test

IVF#7: 4 day 3 embryos transferred- negative pregnancy test

#IVF#8 5 day 3 embryos transferred. Pregnant! Miscarried at 5 weeks 😦

IVF #9,10,11: Egg Banking currently

FET: Early miscarriage ( chemical)

Donor Egg IVF: First transfer resulted in me currently expecting a baby girl end of July.

  3. Wow this is amazing. I’m also an identical twin and both my sister and i have had problems with infertility. She had “unexplained” infertility and managed to have fraternal twins via IUI after two years of trying and treatments. I have DOR and multiple fibroids, and I now have severe Ashermans after multiple surgeries for fibroids so I’ve given up on ever being pregnant or having a biological child. My husband and I are currently foster parents and hope one day to adopt, but if we had the money we’d probably pursue surrogacy with donor eggs. Your post yesterday really rang true with me that it’s cheaper and easier to create a child with donor eggs than to adopt an already existing child.

  4. I am so glad to find your blog. We had a miracle baby through several IVFs and now we are trying for a second through DEIVF. I thought I was the only one out there so desperate to give my child a sibling, and was feeling a little guilty. Glad things are working out for you. Best of luck, and I’ll keep on following. 🙂

So glad I found your blog too! It is so nice to find a friend along for the ride who gets it. Will be thinking and cheering you along this upcoming cycle. So happy you found the perfect donor!
